Over the years, I have been diagnosed with Endometrial Polyps, Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS), Uterine Fibroids—also known as Leiomyomas or Myomas, Anemia and Menorrhagia due to the previous conditions that were mentioned.
I love body art and it was important for me to create inspo that demonstrates how we can overcome many of the challenges we go through. I wanted to specifically outline many of the uterine conditions I have lived with over the years, but also represent what other women have endured as well. My story is based on my personal experience and the conversations I’ve had with my doctors about my health over the years. I’m not a nurse or a doctor and it is always best to seek health advice from a medical professional.
As for the grapefruit, that represents the approximate size of the fibroid that was removed during my surgery earlier this year (February 2020).
Congrats April!! Looking forward to reading more of your blogs 🙂
I can really relate to some of these conditions glad you have started this blog and i am looking forward to share my experiences with other women on this blog.In all things we give thanks to the Almighty for keeping us all alive and seeing us through difficult moments.thank you for this my dear friend.
I am very proud of you for sharing such a heartwarming story!!!!! I had Uterine Fibroid, anemia, low blood pressure and anxiety and deal with the pain and agony monthly. I was diagnosed with these list after my first child , had surgery, therapeutic treatments, Iron pills, and you name it prior to having my second child. My 3rd child had to unfortunately compete space 😪 with my stubborn Fibroid that regrew during pregnancy . In September 2019 I visited an ER due to an unusual pain and was informed my Fibroid is regrowing. I am dealing with the pain, the weight gain, and stress. As you carry this grapefruit you remind me of a lot. Thanks for starting this. Many blessings 🙏
I love this April! Thank you for sharing your story and for being so transparent. Much love and blessings to you. All your purpose! Follow your dreams!
